Print Option of the Computer Graphic Arts Program at Gloucester County College

This program is a computer lab intensive program designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required in the Computer Graphic Arts field. This program includes hands-on instruction using the most popular software packages used by organizations in the industry. The program is designed to prepare students for a career as a computer graphic designer, and/or for various positions such as multimedia artist, internet designer/developer, or digital image specialist. Part-time study, 1 or 2 courses per semester, will be supported and must be planned, by semester, by each student. Major requirements can be met in a two academic year period of full-time study.

This program is a studio-intensive program designed to provide specialized knowledge of computer graphic arts and to prepare students for careers in graphic design, the pre-press industry, electronic publishing, and in printing and publishing firms.

Computer Graphic Arts is a Macintosh-based academic program. Students complete studio hours for each CGA course, requiring extended hours in the Macintosh computer lab beyond class time.
