Interactive Media Option of the Computer Graphic Arts Program at Gloucester County College

This program is a computer lab intensive program designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required in the Computer Graphic Arts field. This program includes hands-on instruction using the most popular software packages used by organizations in the industry. The program is designed to prepare students for a career as a computer graphic designer, and/or for various positions such as multimedia artist, internet designer/developer, or digital image specialist. Part-time study, 1 or 2 courses per semester, will be supported and must be planned, by semester, by each student. Major requirements can be met in a two academic year period of full-time study.

What is Computer Graphic Arts Interactive Media Option?

The new Computer Graphic Arts Interactive Media option is prepares students
for careers as web designers, multimedia designers and web animators. This program takes an interdisciplinary approach: students take a variety of classes in Computer Graphic Arts, Computer Information Systems, and Art.

Can I get an Associates degree in Interactive Media?

Yes, Gloucester County College has designed an exciting Associates Degree program, with 65 to 66 credits, that can be completed in two years.

I already have a degree, can I still take classes in IM?

Yes! At GCC, we have a Certificate program and a Professional Development Certificate program. These program range from 18 to 32 credits.
