Class Participation - Points given for participating in class discussions and adding to the class environment. This includes class attendance - if you miss class you will loose points in this section. |

Quizzes - there will be twelve (12) quizes each worth 25 points each. See a list of Quizes along with Due Dates! These quizes will be taken online with your book and notes to assist you. At the end of the quiz, you will press submit and you will see the grade immediately. The quizes will be available at the beginning of the semester and should be taken during the week they are posted in the Weekly Guide ! |

Labs Assignment- You will be asked to complete Lab Assignments that are computer based as well as online. There will be Ten (10) lab assignments during the semester. Each assignment is worth 30 points for a total of 300 points. These Lab Assignments will be submitted and graded online at elearning.gccnj.edu Each week there will be lab assignments and homework worth points...do not miss this work because it is worth 20% of your grade. Lab Assignments are required even if you are absence from class. |

Grading Rubrics
In order to increase Student understanding of how projects, classwork and presentations are evaluated, the CGA program has developed grading rubrics. A grading rubric provides a framework for the categories which will be reviewed and evaluated to determine the student's grade on a project. The following rubrics will be used in this CGA course for grading

Grading for this class is calculated using a straight forward mathematical formula. You can determine you grade at any time by dividing the number of points earned by the total points. For example, if I have earned 1000 points out of 1100 total points, the grade would be a 90 % or A- The Letter Grading Scale is listed below: |
