Class Participation - Points given for participating in class discussions and adding to the class environment. This includes class attendance - if you miss class you will loose points in this section.

Quizzes - there will be 12 quizzes each worth 25 points each. Here is a list of quizzes along with the due date... These quizzes will be taken online with your book and notes to assist you. At the end of the quiz, you will press submit and you will see the grade immediately. The quizzes will be available at the beginning of the semester and should be taken during the week they are posted in the Weekly Guide !

Each week there will be lab assignments and homework worth points...do not miss this work because it is worth 20% of your grade. If you miss class, please complete the Lab Work and Homework to submit to Professor Mary.

Grading Rubrics
In order to increase Student understanding of how projects, class work and presentations are evaluated, the CGA program has developed grading rubrics. A grading rubric provides a framework for the categories which will be reviewed and evaluated to determine the student's grade on a project. The following rubrics will be used in this CGA course for grading.

Grading for this class is calculated using a straight forward mathematical formula. You can determine you grade at any time by dividing the number of points earned by the total points. For example, if I have earned 950 points out of 1300 total points, the grade would be a 73 % or C-. The Letter Grading Scale is listed below: |
