Technology Art Requirements:

• Select your favorite music artistic or band

• You are to create a painting for your favorite band or artistic

• A Digital Music Cover is 4.75 by 4.75 inches and should be 300 ppi

• You will use the text tool to list the band's name

• You will create THREE different designs using different colors, brush strokes and font styles.

• You are limited to only two photos of the artist or band!

Submission Requirements:

1. Print out Three Color Copies - One for you to keep for your portfolio, one for Professor Mary and One for the Cinder Block Gallery

2. You will submit two electronic files to the Elearning.gccnj.edu web site. The files will be the following formats:

   • Original RIF (Painter File)

   • A JPEG File (for display on the web page)

Grading Criteria:

• You will be graded on both the artistic expression of your paintings as well as the use and implementation of the software.

• If you create a very simple piece, you will loose points. If you create a very artistic piece, but fail to use Illustrator correctly, you will loose points.

• Remember: Balance – Art and Technology
